Kuala Lumpur
Kuala Lumpur (/ˈkwɑːləˈlʊmpʊər/ or /-pər/; Malaysian pronunciation: [ˈkwalə ˈlumpʊr]) is the national capital and most populous global city in Malaysia. The city covers an area of 243 km2 (94 sq mi) and has an estimated population of 1.6 million as of 2010.Greater Kuala Lumpur, covering similar area as the Klang Valley, is an urban agglomeration of 7.5 million people as of 2012. It is among the fastest growing metropolitan regions in South-East Asia, in terms of population and economy.
Kuala Lumpur is the seat of the Parliament of Malaysia. The city was once home to the executive and judicial branches of the federal government, but they were moved to Putrajaya in early 1999. Some sections of the judiciary still remain in the capital city of Kuala Lumpur. The official residence of the Malaysian King, the Istana Negara, is also situated in Kuala Lumpur. Rated as an alpha world city, Kuala Lumpur is the cultural, financial and economic centre of Malaysia due to its position as the capital as well as being a key city. Kuala Lumpur is defined within the borders of the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur and is one of three Malaysian Federal Territories. It is an enclave within the state of Selangor, on the central west coast of Peninsular Malaysia. Since the 1990s, the city has played host to many international sporting, political and cultural events including the 1998 Commonwealth Games and the Formula One Grand Prix. In addition, Kuala Lumpur is home to the tallest twin buildings in the world, the Petronas Twin Towers, which have become an iconic symbol of Malaysia's futuristic development.

1998 Commonwealth Games
The 1998 XVI Commonwealth Games were held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from 11 to 21 September 1998. The 1998 games were the first held in an Asian country and the last Commonwealth Games of the 20th century. This was also the first time the games took place in a country with a head of state other than the Head of the Commonwealth. A record 69 nations (34 of which collected medals) competed, with 3,638 athletes participating. For the first time ever, the games included team sports.
The other bid from the 1998 games came from Adelaide in Australia.

Kuala
Kuala is a town and subdistrict of Langkat Regency. It borders Selesai to the north, Salapian to the west, and Sei Bingai to the south and east. Most people in Kuala are Javanese people, with a significant Karo population. Although most Karo are Christian, many are also Muslim, and as the Javanese are nearly 100% Muslim, Kuala subdistrict is 80% Muslim.
Kuala town itself had a population of 12,459, making it by far the largest settlement in the district. Kuala town is on the main road between Binjai and Bukit Lawang.
Agriculture
Agriculture in Kuala subdistrict is relatively homogenous, with 6,425 hectares of oil palm, 4,243 hectares of sawah (wet rice), 880 hectares of maize and 3,466 hectares of natural rubber, with little land devoted to other crops. There are five factories in the subdistrict.

The Israeli assassin apprehended last month with firearms and ammunition faced charges at the Kuala Lumpur Sessions Court today.
Shalom Avitan, 37, entered a plea of not guilty to possessing six pistols and 158 live bullets between 6:46 p.m. on March 26 and 6:00 p.m. on March 28, 2024, in a hotel room on Jalan Ampang, Kuala Lumpur.

Bukit Putra at Angkasapuri soon to be known as Media City Malaysia. The redevelopment that is cost RM860 million.
Modelled after MediaCityUK in England, the Media City project is a 45.72 acre development on government land in Bukit Putra where RTM is based.
The Media City will be equipped with modern integrated broadcasting facilities including a virtual studio, music and TV studio.
Media City project and RTM are setting up additional facilities such as auditorium, music studio, TV studio, graphics system, lighting system, archival system, and broadcasting vans.
The redevelopment of the 27 hectares through a government-private sector collaboration is to be under two phases covering physical structures and latest broadcasting equipment and to be funded along with Media City Development Sdn. Bhd.
The 'new RTM' will be equipped with additional production facilities such as HD and 4K TV studio, music studio, new auditorium which can accommodate 1,500 people and upgrading of existing TV studio production equipment.
The radio technical facilities will also be upgraded to enhance the standard of radio broadcast in the whole country.
the existing iconic buildings of the eight-storey administrative building and historic buildings of Wisma Radio would be retained.
The development of Media City would enable the national broadcasting industry to enter a new phase and turning Malaysia into a broadcasting hub in the Southeast Asia region.

Kuala Lumpur (/ˈkwɑːləˈlʊmpʊər/ or /-pər/; Malaysian pronunciation: [ˈkwalə ˈlumpʊr]) is the national capital and most populous global city in Malaysia. The city covers an area of 243 km2 (94 sq mi) and has an estimated population of 1.6 million as of 2010.Greater Kuala Lumpur, covering similar area as the Klang Valley, is an urban agglomeration of 7.5 million people as of 2012. It is among the fastest growing metropolitan regions in South-East Asia, in terms of population and economy.
Kuala Lumpur is the seat of the Parliament of Malaysia. The city was once home to the executive and judicial branches of the federal government, but they were moved to Putrajaya in early 1999. Some sections of the judiciary still remain in the capital city of Kuala Lumpur. The official residence of the Malaysian King, the Istana Negara, is also situated in Kuala Lumpur. Rated as an alpha world city, Kuala Lumpur is the cultural, financial and economic centre of Malaysia due to its position as the capital as well as being a key city. Kuala Lumpur is defined within the borders of the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur and is one of three Malaysian Federal Territories. It is an enclave within the state of Selangor, on the central west coast of Peninsular Malaysia. Since the 1990s, the city has played host to many international sporting, political and cultural events including the 1998 Commonwealth Games and the Formula One Grand Prix. In addition, Kuala Lumpur is home to the tallest twin buildings in the world, the Petronas Twin Towers, which have become an iconic symbol of Malaysia's futuristic development.
